Hand & Race Tuning Options and Pricing
For precision angles and deep set waxing, hand servicing is hard to beat.
For race ski prep, there is nothing more accurate.
-
Pure and simple hand edge sharpen and hot wax.
Using guides, files and diamond hones, your edges will be sharpened by hand and de-tuned to your liking. Your skis will then be treated to an iron-on wax to suit your planned use before a hand scrape and thorough brushing to make them glide like silk.
Your ski bases and base bevels need to be in good shape with minimal scratches, no deep gouges and no significant damage.
Edges can be set to either your personal specification or manufacturers specification.
Available waxes include general purpose, backcountry, and a variety of snow types and temperatures. We use wax from Datawax in Glasgow and Holmenkol.
