Machine Servicing Options and Pricing
Using our state of the art Wintersteiger Omega SBI Stonegrinding machine, we can ensure your skis and boards are maintained in tip top condition.
Machine servicing is an essential part of ski and board maintenance for the following reasons :
finishing repairs to factory condition
maintaining flatness of bases
re-setting base bevels to factory or user specification
restoring structure to the base which is essential for wax absorption, glide, stability and edge release.

Whilst belt grinding has a place in ski and board maintenance, stonegrinding is the gold standard and the only real way to achieve factory standard. We are pleased to be able to offer you this gold standard, right here in Nethy Bridge in our purpose built workshop.

Pure and simple edge sharpen and hot wax.
Your ski bases and base bevels need to be in good shape with minimal scratches, no deep gouges and no significant damage.
Edges can be set to either your personal specification or manufacturers specification.
Available waxes include general purpose, backcountry, and a variety of snow types and temperatures. We use wax from Datawax in Glasgow and Holmenkol.

Solvent clean (if necessary) and rotobrushed to deep clean base.
Belt grind to address minor scratches.
Major gouge filling with Wintersteiger Baseman machine.
Belt grind to dress flat
Cork belt finish to remove fine hairs
Base bevel set/sharpen to your specification
Side angle set/ sharpen to your specification
Detune tips and tails to your specification
Hot wax, polish and finish
Where base damage is extensive additional charges will be discussed
